Make PLEDGE donation and EDUCATE a future Architect

Education is one of our county’s most critical imperatives as it contributes to the economic development of the nation. In the very true words of the late Mr. Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

In the beginning of the year, the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA) kicked started with the awarding of bursaries to three deserving students to continue with their studies. These three beneficiaries for 2017 of the SAIA Future Architects Bursary Programme are: Ms Nwabisa Madyibi (University of Cape Town), Mr Lindelo Nzuza (University of the Witwatersrand) and Mr Kgaogelo Mashego (University of Johannesburg). The students are in the process of completing their Masters level.

The bursary programme looks to fund architectural students doing their postgraduate level. As we prepare for the 2018 application process, which will open this July for the 2018 bursary applicants, SAIA would like to invite its members, architectural practices, public and private organisations to contribute towards the SAIA bursary fund. Such a contribution will ensure the sustainability of our profession, which is so vital for the growth of our economy.
